Dr. Doris is dedicated to helping pets and their owners build strong, happy relationships. With a special interest in animal behaviour, she understands how crucial it is for pets to feel secure and loved — because poor behaviour is sadly a leading cause of euthanasia in young animals, and she’s committed to changing that.
Doris graduated with first-class honours and a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1990. She furthered her expertise by completing two one-year distance education courses and passed her membership exams in internal medicine with The Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2000, including both written and practical exams. She continues to stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine through ongoing education.
At home, she shares her life with Pip, a Shi Tzu Poodle cross who’s devoted to keeping the “boss” happy, and Penelope, a nervous but bossy cat who rules the roost—except when it comes to sharing toys, where Pip’s a true gentleman.
For Dr. Doris, the most rewarding part of her job is seeing animals return to full health or helping families navigate behaviour challenges to find a happier life together.
