I started working at the hospital in March 2025 and began my vet nursing course just over a year ago now. It’s been such an exciting journey so far, and I genuinely love what I do.
At home, I share my space (or rather, he lets me live there) with Oscar, my four-year-old free-roam mini lop rabbit. He’s incredibly spoilt and truly rules the house! I also have Godzilla, my curious eastern blue-tongued skink, who enjoys sunbaking and lounging around with us—he’s got a very chill vibe.
What I love most about vet nursing is being able to care for all kinds of animals, but I have a real soft spot for wildlife and exotics. There’s something incredibly special about being able to help those more unique patients feel safe and looked after. For me, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing the difference we make—comforting animals when they’re stressed or scared and showing them kindness and care when they need it most.
Outside of work, I’m happiest at the beach, out bushwalking, spending time with wildlife, or hanging out with my family—and of course, with Oscar always close by!
