In-House Testing
We offer a range of in-house diagnostic tests for fast, reliable results:
- Blood Tests – Including our Pre-Anaesthetic Blood Profile to check vital organ function.
- Cytology – Examine lumps under the microscope to determine if removal is necessary.
- Urinalysis – Detect infections, diabetes, and kidney issues. (Yes, collecting a sample can be tricky — but it’s worth it!)
Most of our in-house services deliver same day results.

X-Rays
Great for:
- Bones
- Chest & abdominal issues
- Diagnosing lameness, fractures, or ligament injuries
Ultrasound
Ideal for:
- Viewing organs in real-time, non-invasively
- Diagnosing bladder, kidney, liver, gallbladder and GI issues.
- Checking blood flow
Echocardiogram (Heart Ultrasound)
A specialised cardiac ultrasound that is non-invasive that gives us a detailed look at your pet’s heart function and structure. We use it to:
- Check heart muscle contractility.
- Diagnose heart murmurs.
- Evaluate heart chambers.
- Examine the sac enclosing the heart (pericardium).
External Lab Testing
Some tests require advanced lab analysis:
- Histopathology – Examines biopsies to diagnose lumps and check if they’ve been fully removed.
- Microbiology – Identifies bacteria and the best antibiotics to treat them.
- Specialist Hormone Testing
These tests often take a little longer but give vital insights.
